Sendezentrale is a local Windows desktop application that controls OBS Studio
and prepares, starts and wraps up a livestream. Dates, designs, thumbnails, logs,
credentials and the license remain on your computer in the folder
%APPDATA%\Sendezentrale. Data leaves your computer only in the clearly defined
cases listed below — and in each case only if you set up and use the respective feature.
There is no usage tracking and no advertising or analytics services in the application.
The license is a signed file that you receive by email after purchase. It contains your email address, the product, the order number and the purchase date. The app verifies the signature exclusively on your computer: no license server, no user account, no activation, no internet required. The file is stored in your user profile and can be removed at any time.
The purchase is handled via the checkout page of Polar Software, Inc., 3500 South DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901, USA, which, as Merchant of Record, processes payment, contact and billing data under its own responsibility; its privacy policy applies. You enter your payment details there — we never see them. To process the order, we receive your email address and the order data so we can deliver your license file, and we process these to fulfill the contract and on the basis of statutory retention obligations. In the process, data is transferred to the USA.
Sendezentrale communicates with OBS Studio via its built-in remote control (WebSocket) on your computer. It reads the password for this remote control from the OBS configuration or from your input and stores it encrypted (Windows DPAPI, tied to your Windows account). It is not transmitted.
If you set up sign-in with Twitch or YouTube (Google), the app signs in using the respective provider's method (device code or OAuth) and stores the access tokens encrypted on your computer. With this access, the app creates on your behalf the Twitch schedule, the YouTube broadcast and — after the recording — the YouTube video and Shorts. In doing so, title, description, game, times, thumbnail and the video file are transmitted to the respective provider. Their privacy policies apply. The provider of Sendezentrale does not receive this data.
If you use the optional AI feature, the title, game and description of the date and, where applicable, a reference image are transmitted directly to Google (Gemini API) using the API key you have stored yourself. Their privacy policies apply. The provider of Sendezentrale does not receive these requests and images. The API key is stored locally in encrypted form.
If you enter SFTP access to your own web space, the app uploads the list of dates
(streams.json), the embed script and the thumbnails there at the push of a button. Credentials remain
encrypted on your computer; data is transmitted only to the server you entered yourself.
If you embed external overlays (such as RaceLab or GoFast), the browser source in OBS loads these addresses from the respective providers. In some places the app opens your browser with external pages, such as the checkout page or the help. The app itself does not transmit any personal data in doing so; from the moment the page is opened, the privacy policy of the visited website applies.
At startup, the app retrieves a small version file (version.json) from the product website
(tausendfreund.me/sendezentrale, hosting: STRATO AG) so it can notify you of new versions. When you
click, it downloads the installer from there and verifies it against the published checksum. The
hosting provider records the usual server log data in the process (e.g. IP address, time); no license,
device or usage data is transmitted. If the retrieval fails (e.g. offline), the app starts normally.
The app runs a small server only on your computer (127.0.0.1), through which OBS loads the overlay
as a browser source and through which a Stream Deck operates the stream controls. It cannot be reached from outside.
Beyond this, the app does not transmit any personal data. No tracking, no audience measurement, no disclosure to third parties for advertising purposes.
This presentation website is a static information page without cookies, without tracking and without analytics services. No forms are offered, and no external fonts or scripts from third-party servers are embedded. When you visit it, the hosting provider records technically necessary server log data (e.g. IP address, time, page accessed), which is processed to provide and secure operation. The website is hosted by STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Strasse 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany (strato.de/datenschutz).
In particular, you have the right of access (Art. 25 revDSG, the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection), rectification, erasure and data portability, insofar as the statutory requirements are met. To exercise them, contact the address given above. The competent supervisory authority is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC / EDÖB).
This policy describes Sendezentrale as of version 0.1.63. Changes to the app will be reflected here.
